A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments. Your card will be securely stored on file at the time of booking and will not be charged unless a cancellation or no-show fee applies. All major credit cards are accepted.

For the safety and security of all clients, a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) is required at your first appointment. Your information is kept strictly confidential and will never be shared with third parties.

Life happens — I get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so with as much notice as possible so the spot can go to someone else.

Please note: cancellation fees are applied at the sole discretion of the provider and may be waived in extenuating circumstances.

Your safety and skin health are the top priority. Please reschedule if any of the following apply on the day of your service:

• Sunburn or significant skin irritation in the service area
• Less than 6 weeks postpartum
• Hair has been shaved within the past 2 weeks — hair must be at least ¼ inch for waxing to be effective
• Active STI in or near the service area
• Use of retinoids, Accutane, or other skin-thinning medications or treatments — consult your provider if unsure
• Open wounds, sores, rashes, or skin infections in the service area

A little prep goes a long way toward a smoother, faster, less uncomfortable experience:

• Hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) — typically 3–4 weeks of growth after shaving
• Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment to reduce ingrown hairs
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol before your appointment, as they can increase skin sensitivity
• Shower and cleanse the area before arriving — avoid heavy lotions or oils on the day of service
• An over-the-counter pain reliever (such as ibuprofen) taken 30–45 minutes before your appointment may help reduce discomfort

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following:

You confirm that you have reviewed the contraindications listed above and that none apply to you at the time of booking. You agree to notify us as soon as possible if your health status changes before your appointment, including any new medications, skin conditions, or recent treatments that may affect your eligibility for waxing services.

You acknowledge that waxing carries inherent risks, including but not limited to temporary redness, irritation, bruising, ingrown hairs, and in rare cases, skin lifting or allergic reactions. You are proceeding with full awareness of these possibilities.

You accept responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from information you failed to disclose or inaccurately disclosed at the time of booking or during your appointment.

You release Katspaw Wax Room, its owner(s), and staff from any claims arising from your waxing service, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You understand that Katspaw Wax Room reserves the right to decline or discontinue service if, in the professional judgment of your esthetician, proceeding would pose a risk to your health or safety. In such cases, cancellation fees will not apply.

If you are booking on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the service on their behalf. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at the time of service.

By completing your booking, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these terms in full.

As part of the check-in process at Katspaw Wax Room, all clients are asked to sign a physical check-in sheet before each appointment. This sheet is located at the front of the studio, alongside a printed copy of the current contraindications list for your reference.

By signing the check-in sheet, you confirm that:

• You have reviewed the contraindications displayed beside the sheet
• To the best of your knowledge, none of the listed conditions, medications, or circumstances apply to you on the day of your visit
• You consent to proceed with your waxing service and accept responsibility for any information not disclosed prior to your appointment

This check-in is required at every visit — not just your first — as your health and skin condition can change between appointments. If a contraindication applies on the day, please let your esthetician know before your service begins. Your appointment will be rescheduled without penalty.
